France will train Ukrainian specialists in mine clearing, first adviser of the French Embassy in Ukraine Bruno Caussanel and the embassy’s humanitarian aid attaché, Frédéric Rousseau, told Chaus at a recent meeting.
The officials also discussed the possibility of creating a DNA laboratory that will work on identifying the bodies of dead civilians, Chaus said.
This comes amid reports that Russian invasion forces twice shelled the Novhorod-Siverskyi community in Chernihiv Oblast on the morning of Aug. 15.
Chaus reported that since 8 a.m. on Aug. 15, more than 70 explosions (probably from artillery fire) had been recorded on the outskirts of the village of Kamyanska Sloboda.
There is damage to civilian buildings, he said.
