Ukraine and Poland to build pipeline for transporting vegetable oil | Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine

Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine, Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, and Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland signed a four-way Memorandum on the project of construction of international pipeline to transport Ukrainian vegetable oil to the sea port of Gdańsk.

Ukraine and Poland are to form a working group shortly, which will focus on the technical specifications and construction conditions of the pipeline and two terminals.

“For the past six months, we have been actively increasing the volumes of exported Ukrainian agricultural products via the joint checkpoints with the Republic of Poland. Also, we are working on decreasing the ques at the Ukraine-Poland state border” – said the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi.

For the record: Ukrainian vegetable oil had been exported to 107 countries prior to the war, with the biggest share of consumers in Europe (37%), South-East Asia (29%) and Asia (14,9%).
